CAVA USAI

The Usai quarry.On the east side of Capo Carbonara, in a rock cave that take its name from the company that used to extract granite here. The quarry has been closed but traces still remain of the work that went on here. The bay looks out on deep open sea with the Cavoli's island. There's a small beach of granite sand where during springtime grow yellow poppies, spontaneous wallflowers and wild orchids.
