7 FRADIS PARK
The Seven Brothers Forest
is a protected area which takes the name from its higher
mountain: a massive of pink granite with seven major peaks. A
legend tells they were seven greedy giants petrified by a
goddes they refuse to help. It's a forests of oaks,
junipers arbutus-trees and holm-oaks, large 226 square miles populated by sardinian deer (Cervus elaphus corsicanus),
golden eagles, boars
and a lot of endemic species like the sardinian
geotriton (Speleomantes imperialis sarrabusensis), or the wild cat (Felis silvestris lybica). The closer area to Villasimius is the Minni
Minni forest easy to recognize by the relays onthe top
of the mountain. It's an enchanting woodland in every
season, during wintertime seldom snows, the spring
covers the undergrowth of scented flowers, especially
cyclamens and the fall transfoms this blooming in a
mushroom's carpet.
